This is a naïve song I wrote around New Year's Day 2019, under a powerful sun in a striking cold wave of blue.

On a day before the New Year,
it was freezing cold
but out of the blue,
the sun came out

all the birds were gone
and we were looking for a
place we'd never been
so we headed for the sun

When we got close to it,
someone said : hey, I'm melting,
can we try the moon instead

On our way there, it was pitch dark
so we looked and looked for the
Sea of Tranquillity
and all we found was a sea of rocks
on this far far side of the moon

someone said : what do we do now,
its too cold up here
lets all go home

so we traveled in a blinding light
straight to paradise
on a beach and we swam
in the sea of stars
above

after a while we were
restless again
so we built a boat
a row-row-rowing boat
and we row-row-rowed away

when we reached the other side of the ocean
we saw everyone
and the fireworks

It was the New Year
